I just purchased a Mac Mini, and I’d like to share my initial thoughts. I’m pretty stoked about the purchase, as my other desktop computer has gotten too old to run the newest version of Pro Tools audio software. And that old (2005) Dell computer is just cramping my style in general. I Spent the Day Following the Space Shuttle in the Streets of Los Angeles
I walked alongside the retired space shuttle Endeavour as it was being transported from the Los Angeles International Airport to its new home at the California Science Center. The move is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. No doubt, more space vehicles will be retired one day, but there will never again be another space shuttle moved through the streets of L.A. Here are some photos (and a video) I took today:

Space Shuttle Endeavour In The Skies and Streets Of L.A.
At the very least, I feel very grateful to have seen the space shuttle “Discovery” launch back in 2008. Reflecting on Ancient Computers (2026 update)
In conversation yesterday, the topic of growing up around computers came about. I have always had what seems to be a knack for technology, to such a degree that, out of high school, I would occasionally make house calls to set up printers, home entertainment systems, and computers. Really, though, at least part of that “knack” stems from getting a head start on technology. Before everyone had computers at home, my dad was in a computer club and, no doubt, we were among the fi
